State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan said he would prioritize work on several projects that had stalled before he left office in 100 days.
“The first one is the Trans-Sumatra project. The 500 Kilovolt [KV] electricity transmission project in Sumatra is also expected to begin,” he said on Saturday.
Besides the two projects, Dahlan said he also wanted to start running a toll road project built over the sea in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, in October.
But he said he still needed to renegotiate the plan with the Navy, which said it wanted to build a separate project that would block the toll road.
In addition, he said that he expected to finish the expansion of Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang, Central Java, and construction of a 2x1,000 megawatt steam-fueled power plant (PLTU) in Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN) in Cilincing, North Jakarta, within his last 100 days in office.
